Extremely low viscosity, clear, water white,
solvent-free “penetrating” epoxy system. Clear
Coat is ideal for clear coating wood, and the wetting out
of fiberglass cloth for bright finished boats. Use as a primer
(base) for clear linear polyurethane or varnish coatings and
as a penetrating first coat for blister repair on fiberglass
boats. Use also for those applications that require a long
pot life and low viscosity. Clear Coat cures to a brilliantly
clear, very tough finish without the usual “amine blush”
associated with some epoxy resin films. Clear Coat contains
no volatile solvents. Sand and varnish Clear Coat resin in
order to avoid water spotting. The minimum temperature for
coating is 55°F. The pot life time at 60° is 2 hours
and the cure time or set time is overnight. The pot life time
at 77° is 55 minutes and the set time is 9 hours. |
